Bringing you inspiration for your magical day

On November 19, 2016 we were honored with capturing the love story of Emily and Dustin. This amazing couple came to us as a referral from Dessa Event Planning. I remember the day that I spoke to Emily on the phone like it was yesterday. We had been in contact for a few weeks and tried to meet up, but since she just had a baby it was a little difficult to find time to meet. Let me repeat that, she JUST had a baby not to long ago! Emily looks amazing post baby doesn't she? Anyway, Emily told me all the details of their day and I knew this wedding would be filled with so much love from their friends and family. Their special day began at the Chapel on the Green in Yorkville, IL. The Chapel was straight out of an old 1960's movie, with beautiful chandeliers and a balcony over looking the entire ceremony. It was such a chilly day it must have been 10 degrees outside, but that didn't stop the bridal party from taking a few pictures after the ceremony.
The reception was held at the Kendall County Fairgrounds and was perfect for Emily's Country Chic theme! The entire reception had icicle lights and created the perfect romantic atmosphere. Emily and Dustin had one of the most unique wedding desserts I have ever seen, they had over four tiers of donuts for guests to devour! It was seriously jaw-dropping! Another one of my favorite parts of their wedding was when Emily's niece followed Alan around as he was filming the speeches and first dances. She had a phone with her and took pictures next to Alan. When he kneeled Emily's niece kneeled, it was the cutest thing ever! Seems to me that she's a future videographer in the making. Emily and Dustin's wedding was hands-down one of my favorites to film to-date. Their families were so warm and welcoming it was truly like filming the wedding of one of our family members. Cheers to the newlyweds! Best wishes to you both!

12/26/2016 1 Comment Fall inspired Styled ShootIt’s no surprise that fall is our favorite season! So when it came time to design this shoot, a fall theme was a no-brainer. We wanted to stay away from the traditional fall colors such as orange, red, and yellow. Marsala is the star of this color palette, which also includes navy blue, dusty pink and gold accents. We also wanted to take a walk on the dark side by combining dark shades and a romantic color palette. St. James Forest Preserve was the perfect backdrop for this shoot with its lush, woodland scenery. Our creative team really dug deep to bring this idea to life!
